Dr Maria Otília de Almeida Carvalho is a Senior Researcher at the University of Lisbon and holds a PhD in Agronomic Engineering. Her work focuses on food security, postharvest technologies, and sustainable approaches to stored product protection. She has led and participated in national and international projects, and teaches at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Portugal and Africa. Her research integrates agricultural innovation, food conservation, and pest management strategies, aiming to improve both productivity and sustainability in agri-food systems.
