Dr. James F. Campbell is Director of the United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Center for Grain and Animal Health Research in Manhattan, Kansas. Dr. Campbell received a B.S. degree and an M.S. degree in Entomology from Rutgers University, and a Ph.D. degree in Entomology from the University of California-Davis. He joined USDA ARS in 1999 starting as a Research Entomologist and has also served as the Research Leader of the Stored Product Insect and Engineering Research Unit. Dr. Campbell has led a wide-ranging research program on the post-harvest management of insect pests of durable commodities, focusing on the application of behavior and ecology to improve monitoring programs and more effectively implement pest management strategies.
